The Chevrolet Colorado is heavy duty enough to take care of tough jobs but is agile enough to make it feel like you’re not moving a mountain. It’s quiet, capable and smart – inside and out. It’s easy to see why it was named Motor Trend Truck Of The Year® for 2015 and 2016.
What really sets this truck apart is the 2.8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine and the amazing fuel economy it provides. The EPA estimates a whopping 31 mpg on the highway for two-wheel drive models. It also has the highest trailering capacity in the midsize truck lineup with a staggering 7,700 pounds when equipped with the available trailering package. That’s more than enough to tow around your boat, your horse, and most other outdoor hobbies.
The Colorado is available in four-door extended or crew cab models at the Work Truck, LT and Z71 trim levels. The diesel engine can be paired with two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive in the Ly and Z71 Crew Cab options. It features a variable-geometry turbocharger for optimal power and efficiency, and is SAE-certified at 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque at 2,000 rpm.
For as thrilling as the power and performance is, the goodies in the cockpit are just as exciting. Colorado is the first midsize truck to offer 4G LTE Wi-Fi® to accommodate you whether you’re out off-roading in the backwoods or if you’re darting around the city from business meeting to business meeting. The in-dash touchscreen also supports Apple CarPlay so you can seamlessly connect your music, listen and respond to texts hands free, and more.
Safety is something that never takes the back seat with Chevrolet and the Colorado exemplifies this. The rear vision camera comes standard in all trims and you can opt for the available Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning with the LT model to help you prevent accidents before they happen.
